The Civic 2.2 i-CTDI fits me perfectly, 5 doors, big boot, good on fuel, far from sluggish, and a good design. There are things that draw back on it though, such as paintwork, clutch replacement probability, and the overal quality of the build, depriciation etc.

I also had the Accord 2.2 which was by far the best diesel I've ever driven - once you've had the Civic remapped you should find both a significant increase in torque and in my case also a good improvement in economy. I use to average 43 but now get 50mpg.
